Kyle Packard, founder of Packard Wealth Strategies, brings a unique perspective to financial success for veterans, having faced his own journey transitioning from military life to entrepreneurship. With a focus on thoughtful decision-making, redefining risk, and creating personalized financial plans, Kyle helps veterans navigate financial security in their civilian lives.

Thoughtful Decision-Making and Career Transition

Kyle’s journey into financial planning was not a straightforward path. “I convinced myself three times not to be a financial planner before realizing it was what I truly wanted,” he shares. His advice to veterans is to take time to reflect on career choices, allowing space to reconsider and gain clarity. This careful approach helped him develop confidence in his decision and approach his new career thoughtfully.

Embracing Risk Beyond Military Predictability

A significant shift for veterans in the civilian world is learning to embrace risk. In the military, roles, income, and assignments are predictable, but Kyle believes that calculated risks are essential for long-term growth. “Many veterans later wish they’d taken more risks sooner,” he notes. Kyle encourages veterans to shift their perspective on risk to open up new, fulfilling career opportunities. This will help in the financial success for veterans

Personalized Financial Planning for Veterans

Kyle’s financial strategies focus on veterans’ unique income streams, like pensions, which he treats as stable, bond-like assets. For instance, if a pension covers 60% of expenses, he builds additional income sources to cover the remaining 40%, ensuring a steady foundation. This enables veterans to pursue larger goals, such as travel or other investments, with a calculated approach that balances security and growth.

Focusing on Savings Rather Than Detailed Budgeting

Rather than tracking every dollar, Kyle emphasizes a strong savings rate to reflect financial health. “A savings rate under 20% can be concerning, especially nearing retirement,” he says. By focusing on savings rather than strict budgeting, veterans are empowered to spend without guilt while building long-term security.

Building Packard Wealth Strategies to Serve More Veterans

Kyle’s mission is to expand Packard Wealth Strategies thoughtfully, building a team dedicated to supporting veterans with personalized guidance. His goal is to grow his practice while maintaining the one-on-one attention that makes his services valuable.

For veterans interested in exploring financial planning with a veteran-focused approach, Kyle invites them to visit PackardWealth.com. Here, veterans can learn about his strategies and schedule consultations, making it simple to start their financial journey.

Kyle’s commitment to helping veterans achieve financial security reflects his respect and dedication to those who’ve served. “It’s a pleasure to serve those who’ve served,” he says.
